Research Interests:
Developments in magnetic systems and instrumentation byemploying nonlinear phenomena. Developments in electronic systems and instrumentation by utilising nonlinear dynamics principles. Developments related to low-frequency electromagnetic sensors-developments in magnetometry, in sensing electric fields, and in electromagnetic assisted sensing of translations and vibrations are included in this activity.
Research Projects:
Nonlinear oscillators: Quickly responding voltage controlled oscillators with possible applications in radar and communications, irregular oscillations in electromechanical systems and electronic circuits, applications of limit cycle theory for invertors development, three phase resonators, resonant switch modepower oscillators for industrial electronics. Electromechanical systems: obtaining reduced computerized models of synchronous machines by employing three phase oscillators. Electromagnetic sensors: employment of the nonlinearity of the magnetization process in thinmagnetoresistive films for developing new nano Tesla level magnetometers, utilization of the duality existing between low-frequency magnetic field sensors and low-frequencyelectric field sensors for improving both types of sensors, scientific and engineering applications of magnetometry, assessing natural electromagnetic ELF phenomena, employing an array of magnetometers for the localization of hidden ferromagnetic objects.
