Abstracts of Current Research:- Infrared Target Aquisition Modeling: We are modeling target acquisition by infraredsystems used by human observers. We are incorporating into this model the effect of clutter in the surroundingsand the size of the field of view.
- Spectroscopy of solid-state laser models:: We have developed a model tocalculate the energy transfer rate in codopedlaser materials between correlated(non-random) acceptors and donors.Experimental methods to exploit correlationto develop improved solid-state lasermaterials are under investigation in theElectro-Optics Laboratory.
